How are our birthday parties unique from others?

We are the ONLY authorized LEGO MINDSTORMS Center in Eastern US.
Parties take place in our state of the art computer lab.
Parties are science theme-based.
Participants will perform simple picture-based programming on a PC through an easy-to-use and very appealing programming environment.
Through programming on a PC, children automate their robots as their commands.
Activities allow participants to strategize and take challenge.
Participants will "see" their own achievement in every single action, jump up and scream "Hurray! I did it!".
All labs have an one-sided mirror through which parents can watch all the excitement children have.
All are instructor-led sessions in our well-equipped computer lab.
All our technically trained instructors have a rapport with children and worked closely with all children throughout the party.
All participants will stay inside the computer lab during the entire fun time. Parents can sit back, relax and watch the whole party through the one-sided mirror. It is like watching your children playing in a Mind Sport.
Children will work in a team of 2 to 3. Usually the last 20 minutes of each party is allocated for cake/food time.

Mission Mars. (for age 8 to 10)

The Mission Mars program is about a dramatic rescue situation. A Martian storm has disconnected all communication lines to the space station. The space scientists have been hurt. This is Urgent! They must be rescued and sent back to Mother Earth before the next storm hits Mars.

Your mission is to reach the desired destination and save these scientists.

For more complex exploration, you need to collect some very important Martian samples that have been scattered around by the storm for future investigation.

You will also find an array of more involved robotics activities which will be great for parties and social gathering. Basic Options

All prices include paper goods, such as paper plates, cups, plastic utensils, table cloth, and napkins.

Age Group: Age 8 to adult. Complexity in activities is very scalable and will be adjusted to the age group.

*Please note :* Reserved hours include time spent in the computer lab, as well as the "celebration/cake" time. 20 minutes are usually allocated for birthday cake time. This can be adjusted as parents' wish. For example, you need only 30 minutes for your meal time, 1.5 hr will be allocated as lab time. Free fresh brewed coffee and tea for parents. We provide paper goods including all necessary utensils, cups, plates, table cloth. There will be another party or class within an hour after your party, please kindly finish up the cake time at the end of the reserved hour. $120 non-refundable, but transferable deposit to reserve your selected party date and time. All our facilitators are specially trained individual. They all have rapport with children, and are equipped with appropriate technical skills to maximize the challenging FUN for all participants during the entire lab time. Gratuity is not mandatory, but encouraged. All birthday party favors will be put in a glossy bag.

Policy

Gratuity: Please note that gratuity is not included in the case of 10 participants. It is completely at your discretion but highly encouraged. 15% gratuity will be included in the final cost for 10 or more participants.
Cancellation / Credit Policy: You may reserve online or call us to reserve a time slot. Reservation is not confirmed until the $120 deposit is received. This deposit is non-refundable if cancellation takes place within 8 weeks prior to the party date, but may be transferred if you need to change the date of your party.

In order to maintain a safe and fun environment for all birthday participants, we ask parents to help by following the guidelines below:

Throughout the entire session, except the birthday cake time, all participants should stay inside the computer workshop room where sufficient adult supervision is available at all times.

No food/drink is allowed in the computer lab.

Any participant younger than 8 years old MUST require special arrangement.

No children under 6 is allowed to enter the computer room, for both their safety and our liabilities concern.

If parents, except the birthday child's parents, desire to take part throughout the whole session, he/she will be counted as additional participant. However, parents' full time participation is not recommended as our experience has shown it indeed poses adverse effect on the excitement and individual creativity among the youngsters. Each lab has an one-sided viewable large window which allows parents to observe at any time.

Party favor is free for the birthday child ONLY if you purchase party favors from us. You are more than welcomed to bring your own.

All non-participants who are under 13 years old MUST be under adult's supervision at all times when they are at the center.

The following has never happened. However, word of caution is worth to be included.
Please note that there are expensive equipments in the computer lab, including the LEGO robots. Respects to the facilities and all equipments are required. If a child deliberately causes damage to the facilities or equipments, he/she will be removed from the party and returned to his/her parents. His/her parents will be held responsible for the repair.
