What our programs offer
We provide both comprehensive as well as introductory level in enrichment to both
homeschools and conventional schools. All enrichment programs tailored to the requested
grade level and timeframe.
Key Activities
- Focus on grade appropriate conceptual engineering concepts
- Rudimentary robotics exploration activities with LEGO and LEGO robotics components.
- Learn through a highly encapsulated and
intuitive Graphics User interface based programming commands.
- Programming in RobolabTM
to automate their robots.
- Engage in small contests from time to time.
- Work cooperatively with team members to
develop and carry out a plan, and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
Additional Challenge Event:
We can organize an Intra-school robotics teams Competition Event with
invitation to school officials and parents.
Robotics Enrichment benefit your school & community
- For increasing the awareness to the intricate, but ubiquitous
applications of robotics.
- For inspiring and encouraging students to pursue interests Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) in high school.
- For strengthening competency in STEM.
- For opening opportunities to regional and state robotic competition.
- Increased Awareness and interests in robotics technology among the students
will inherently get parents and business in the community involved
in a long term.
Typical Schedule
Although most afterschool program only allows
one hour, we recommend two hours per session as it probably is the most cost effective way
to maximize the learning experience.
We can also extend it to 3 to 5 hours during the weekdays, Monday to Friday. You may select
one or more days. All classes must be reserved at least one month ahead.
Please contact us for determing the
schedule best work for your group.
How do we evaluate the accomplishment?
All classes are project-based oriented. At the end of each project,
all students will need to demonstrate their understanding through
mini-contests. At the end of the course, parents and school officials are
invited to watch a mini-contest as well.
Cost & Policies
Participation Fee: The cost is based on the
program length, and grade levels, and distance from the center. Please contact us
to obtain a the exact cost. The tuition is on a group rate, much more economical than individual rate.
Number of participants per class : maximum 12 in each lab.
Staff requirement: For insurance and disciplinary purpose, we would request
to have at least one aid from the participating school group present during
the meeting. This aid does not need to offer any technical
assistance.
Requirement for you to enjoy these classes :
- You enjoy robotics exploration which includes basic mechanic
concepts in building, and programming for automation.
- You must be willing to keep notes to record project progress.
- You enjoy mind challenge.
- You are willing to conform to our code of
conduct.
- You love math, as there will be math application.
There is plenty opportunity to exercise your creativity. However, you
must follow the basic disciplines and gear toward the project goals.
Therefore, there will not be "free-building" time in class.
However, you are encouraged to exericse the knowledge you gain in class
at home and create more robotics contraption and programs.
