  What makes us unique?
1) The ONLY Authorized LEGO MINDSTORMS Center in N.E. US.

2) Instill a flavor of competitiveness with emphasis on collaboration.
Parents are invited to come in at the last day to observe a fun and friendly mini-contest or presentation. You will witness their children's achievement.
3) Low and effective campers to instructor ratio.
From 6:1 to 10:1 participants to instructor ratio depending on the grade levels. Part of the tremendous value of Robotics for young students is teamwork.  It is an un-effective method to have one person to work on his/her own.  Participants will work in a team of two.  A lot of brainstorming, strategizing together, and sharing ideas.

4)Sophisticated computer lab.
All computers are installed within an enterprise level of network configuration.  Instructor can readily access all machines as all machines are setup within an intranet. Internet is only opened to students if required by the course.

5) Goal getters participants...

Most of our participants are high academic achievers in their schools. This has allowed us to continuously to expand levels of complexity.

6) Strengthen the appreciation of "Power of Knowledge".

We have received many alike comments from parents who compare our programs versus other robotics programs. Their children prefer our programs because they received continuous challenge in building, programming, and strategizing. In additional, they have a lot of intelligent fun.

The success is only a side effect of the appreciation of "Power of Knowledge" instilled in our center.

7) Highly qualified Staff with industrial experience.
The Founder has brought not only the technical skills that academia requires, but also the competitiveness and level of work ethics required in industrial technical market in order to be successful.

Most classes for Gr. 8+  are taught by professionals with Master Degree in Science.

We focus on robotics education for age 8 to high school throughout the whole year.  This is run by staff who has accumulated a lot of robotics educational experience throughout the year, not just during school breaks.

8) Uncompromising disciplines..
Our center do not compromise our disciplines in order to create a supportive and friendly environment. All children not only must work towards a goal, but also MUST show respects to others.
9) Our thematic workshops topics are truly engaging...
All our workshops are thematic.  All themes surround real world application.  Some are science-centric, some are more for bit humorous side.  Our past popular workshops have proven the success of our teaching method.

Creating such workshops are painstaking, and genuinely requires tremendous hardwork, talent, and expertise.

Examples of our appealing themes: "Space expedition",  "The Atoms Family", "NanoTech Mission", "Mission Ridiculous", "RoboDog vs. RoboMailman", "Revenge of RoboMailman", and many more.

10) Stress on true robotics experience.
We use robotics learning tools which provide TRUE robotics experience, not like other easily assembled kits. Read the evaluation in the value between LEGO Robotics learning tools vs. most others out in the market commonly used in other workshops.  You will see the great value LEGO MINDSTORMS offers over most others for elementary and middle schoolers.
Fun Robotics Alley for both thinkers and builders
Theme-based, and Goal-oriented .
Our robocamp programs focus on hands-on challenging and creative Fun with robotics technology.  Each module has its own theme in order to encourage children's imagination developed to meet a certain goal.

Instill PRIDE with job of accomplishment with active learning.
We strive to ensure students should have  leave our program with sense of accomplishment that they will be proud of.

True Robotics Experience.
All programs involve hands-on experiments with exploring, designing, building from scratch, and programming for full automation. All programming is written on a PC and "transferred" to the MINDSTORMS robot.  We the easy-to-use LEGO Mindstorms robotics component, but use a highly scalable programming software to accommodate various skill levels.

  Adapted curriculum meeting National Standards
Our curriculum is built on rich materials from various prestigious robotic institution. See what national standards.

Storming Robots:

  • stresses learning the realm of artificial intelligence.
  • constantly work with various science and technology  professionals in order to enhance curriculum.
  • not only  simply purchase and use curriculums from strong robotics institutions, but also build upon them to develop courses and programs into even stronger and inspiring machine.
  • constantly bring in other hot science topics to the classes in a form of inspiration.
  • also provide computer and other science technology for the community, such as high school classes for homeschoolers.

Students at Storming Robots:

  • learn the important data structure in computer science which is a small but indispensable element in A.I.
  • post their own robotics creation at the center's bulletin board.
  • meet peers with similar caliber and interests.
  • exercise true engineering proce, such as mandatory engineering journal at our robotic technology club.
  • learn and exercise the value of teamwork.
  • learn and exercise the significance of self-motivation.
  • constantly practice as a goal-getter.
Endless Challenge For Novice and Experts.
Ease-to-use for novice.
For the novice: Though the idea of programming robots may sound intimidating to some children, the LEGO MINDSTORMS system provides an easy and fun experience.  The workshops offer a friendly teamwork-learning environment, and most children find it very intuitive within a short period of time.

Advanced Challenge for expert.
For the more advanced:  We provide more complex, mind-challenging robotics activities which may require complex programming logic even for college level.  Our programs include advanced level, which guarantees a bundle of technical challenges and fun for the more advanced kids.   The challenges are virtually endless.
 Positive feedback from parents
From both named and anonymous feedback.
"Just want to tell you how much he liked the robocamp.  The instructor was great, and the non robotic lessons in physics, engineering were really   fantastic... Theo worked his brain..."    -- Lisa Rabka, 2006

"... Alex loved the robocamp so much. He did not stop talking about how he programmed his robot.  He is coming back to join the roboclub...  --July, 2006

Our past 2006,2007 summer workshops -  big success.
Most of modules for the summer 2006 were full by early June.  Participants loved the mind challenge and had awesome time with technology, science experiments and all our mini-contests.  Parents love to attend the final challenge to actually see how much their children have achieved.

  Small divided Groups
Group size is limited to maximum of 12 in 2007, with one instructor, and one junior technical assistant.

Part of the tremendous value of Robotics for young students is teamwork.  It is an un-effective method to have one person to work on his/her own.  Participants will work in a team of two. There will be most 2 students sharing one computer.  A lot of brainstorming, strategizing together, and sharing ideas.

Available in three age groups:

  • 2nd & 3rd grades
  • 4th grade to 6th grades
  • 6th to 9th grades
  • 9th to 12th grades
